| Prices / 販売価格 | Shown with each service, in US dollars. Roots Snapshot: $29. Roots Report: $390. Koseki Family Tree: $1,000 for up to 6 registers, +$80 for each additional register. A register is one certified document from the city office, however many pages it has. Family Chronicle: $2,900. Chronicle + Family Tree: $4,500 for up to 6 registers, +$80 for each additional register. Document Reading: as a rule, $79 for up to 80 Japanese characters. Please tell us about the item before you order; we send a private upload code for the photo and talk it over with you before you pay. Old cursive handwriting and longer items are priced after we see the photo. Hometown Visit Guide: $390. The Family Chronicle and the Chronicle + Family Tree each require a Roots Report, bought separately first; with the Report, the totals are $3,290 and $4,890. The price is the total you pay for the PDF and includes all our fees. We do not add sales tax or VAT. Visits to your ancestral village and family temple on your behalf are a separate service, quoted separately for each visit; the Hometown Visit Guide does not include them. | Delivery / 引渡時期 | Roots Snapshot: about 3 weeks. Roots Report: about 1 month. Koseki Family Tree: about 2 months after we receive all images. Family Chronicle: about 2 months. Chronicle + Family Tree: about 3 months. For these two, we count from the day you pay for the book, which you do after your Roots Report is delivered. Document Reading: about 1 week after we receive your images. Hometown Visit Guide: about 2 weeks (please order at least 1 month before you travel). These are estimates, not guarantees: every record gets the care it needs, and if we expect a delay, we will let you know by email. We confirm the expected delivery date by email when you order. We deliver the PDF by email. Printed or hardbound copies, if quoted and ordered, are sent by international post; import duties, if any, are paid by the recipient. | Cancellation & refunds / 返品・キャンセル | Before work begins: full refund. After work begins: we refund the price less the part of the work already done. If we cannot read a page of a register or document you sent, we refund the part of the price that covers it. After delivery: tell us within 30 days if you are not satisfied, and we will review the report; if we made an error, we correct it free of charge. We count you as unreachable when our emails to every address you have given us, including the one you used to pay, bounce back. The same applies when we need your reply to go on and get none. While you are unreachable, we pause the work and hold delivery. If, 30 days after you pay, you are still unreachable, we cancel the order. We then refund your payment less the payment processing fee we were charged and, if work had begun, less the part already done. This does not apply where the law gives you a right to a full refund. We pay refunds within 15 days after you cancel or after we agree that a refund is due. Customers in the EU and the UK also have a 14-day right of withdrawal (see our terms). Nothing here limits any right to cancel that you have under the law of the country where you live. 作業開始前は全額返金。作業開始後は、済んだ分を差し引いて返金。判読できない頁は、その頁にあたる分を返金。納品後30日以内のお申し出があれば見直し、当方の誤りは無償で訂正します。いただいたどの連絡先（お支払いの際のアドレスを含む）にもメールが届かず戻ってくる場合や、進めるのにご返事が必要なのにご返事が無い場合は、連絡がつかないものとして、作業とお届けをいったん止めます。お支払いから30日たっても連絡がつかないときは、ご注文を取り消し、当方に請求された決済手数料を差し引いて（作業を始めていたときは、済んだ分も差し引いて）返金します。法律で全額返金の権利があるときは、この定めは適用しません。返金は、解約または返金の合意から15日以内に行います。EU・英国のお客様には14日の撤回権があります（規約を参照）。お住まいの国の法律による解約の権利は妨げません。 |
